Video 1: anyone can be anyone

The aim of this video is that the kids understand the need to protect their privacy on the Internet and especially on social networking sites, it is especially important not to accept friendship requests of someone they do not know, or whose real identity they are not sure,  because the anonymity made possible by the new technology allows anyone to be anyone.
The story: Magda, the main character, finds on Facebook a friendship request of someone who she might not know.
Intrigued, check out the smarmy subject’s Facebook profile: he appears in photos cleaned up and shaven, and has his contact information… she decides to accept the friendship!
The scene moves to the smarmy’s home,  he is looking  Magda Facebook profile, her photos and contact information to approach her.
The next day, Magda goes with two friends at school. The 'smarmy' in the meantime arrives at the school, sneaks around the building, he hides himself behind a tree, waiting, spying.
Kids get out of school, the protagonist has a consultation with her friends out of school.
The smarmy, observed the scene, comes back  home and contacts on Facebook Magda's friends glimpsed in front of the school.
The two friends go home, open their Facebook profile and find the smarmy friend request. Both accept the request. In particular, one of these chat with the smarmy, and intrigued and flattered agrees to meet him at the skate park. The girl arrived at the skate park, observe as the 'new' friend is different from what she expected,  he’s older, shady, smarmy.
Frightened, she runs to Magda’s home to tell her what is happened and to warn her friends.
They are close to desk, and open the smarmy facebook profile. While Magda is at the computer starts up a call between the two friends, a sort of double interview.
Friend 1 (ie one that has met the smarmy) tells the story with anxiety, Friend 2 changes her facial expression, she is very angry.
At this point, the video comes back and makes the viewer understand what would have happened if they had behaved differently ...
What about if….
Magda cames home after school, she is in her room, sits at the desk, turn on her computer and opens her Facebook profile, finds a friendship request of someone who might not be familiar. She checks out the smarmy subject’s Facebook profile, the photo (cleaned, no beard) and contact information.. but she decides not to accept.
At the end, on the video advices are provided  that can be useful for staying out of trouble.
It is said to the kids to: protect their identity on social networks:
- Check carefully the privacy settings,
- Choose a password difficult to guess,
-  Do not accept the friendship of those they do not know and not to trust appearances since anyone can be anyone!

Never share personal information, especially do not  provide online your cell phone number, address, or any other information that can make you physically traceable.
If you agree to meet personally someone you met online:
- Tell it someone they trust
- Do not go alone
- Choose a public and crowded place
-  Beware
